Cold front to roll in tonight

A cold front from the northwest will reach Kaua'i late tonight, the National Weather Service said, stalling over Maui County tomorrow night before giving way to cooler and drier weather.

Trade winds are also expected to gradually return on Thursday and into the weekend.

Today's weather will be partly cloudy skies with scattered showers, highs 73 to 80 and east winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain is 40 percent during the day, rising to 70 percent tonight.

Tomorrow, expect partly cloudy skies with scattered showers again, and highs 71 to 78 with northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. There is a 50 percent chance of rain.

Tomorrow night, temperatures will dip to 58 to 65 degrees.
