Hawai'i's Japan group to give prayer for peace on Pearl Harbor Day

For the 25th time, the Hawai'i group, Japan Religious Committee for World Federation, will take part in the commemoration of the 65th annual Pearl Harbor Day.

They've been invited to give a prayer for peace during festivities at Pearl Harbor, then will visit the Marine Corps Base in Kane'ohe to see the grave marker of Japanese Zero pilot Lt. Fusata Iida, the Klipper's Memorial and the Iwo Jima Memorial.

A symposium will also be held to promote peace and understanding between Japanese and American cultures at 3 p.m. Dec. 5 at Our Lady of Peace Cathedral.
