About 45,100 tickets were sold or distributed for the University of Hawai'i's football game against Oregon State when the box offices closed for business today, according to UH officials.

Saturday's game between the 24th-ranked Warriors (10-2) and the Beavers (8-4), which starts at 7:05 p.m. at Aloha Stadium, will be shown on ESPN.

"We sold 5,500 tickets yesterday (Monday) and expect a similar or greater number to sell today," John McNamara, UH's associate athletics director/external affairs, said earlier today.

It would be the second game in a row attendance at Aloha Stadium would top 40,000. A total of 44,298 attended last Saturday's game against Purdue.

Prior to the Purdue game, the UH attendance at Aloha Stadium had not topped 30,000 this season.
