Cooler weather through weekend

Northeast trade winds over the next couple of days will keep the islands cooler over the next few days, the National Weather Service said.

Today''s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with highs 70 to 77 degrees. By nightfall, the lows could dip from 57 to 64 degrees, and winds will be 10 to 15 mph.

Tomorrow will be mostly sunny with isolated showers and highs 71 to 78. East winds will increase to 10 to 20 mph. Tomorrow night, expect mostly cloudy skies, scattered showers and lows 59 to 66 degrees.

The cool weather will stick around this weekend, too, with Saturdays highs of 72 to 79 degrees and the lows 60 to 67.

Sunday's forecast calls for high temperatures 72 to 79 and lows Sunday night 60 to 67 degrees.
