California-based Satura Cakes will open its first store in Hawai'i Wednesday in the Harbor Court business tower lobby in downtown Honolulu.

Satura Cakes specializes in European-style pastries with a Japanese influence. The pastry chain has plans to open two more locations in the next three months at Ward Center and the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center.

Satura Cakes opened its first store in January in Los Altos, Calif. The company's chefs are led by Seung Ho Jung, protege of renowned chef Masahito Motohashi of the Anniversary Co. bakery in Japan.
