Cloudy skies expected for today

Expect high clouds to block out a fair amount of sunshine today and to find trade wind showers in the usual windward and mauka locations, according to the National Weather Service.

The high clouds are being brought to you courtesy of a upper level low pressure system to northwest of the islands.

More of the sun should be out tomorrow, forecasters said.

Here's how the first few days of the new week are shaping up:

Tonight, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 67 to 78. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tuesday, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Highs 79 to 86. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tuesday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 68 to 78. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Wednesday, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Highs 80 to 87. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Wednesday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 69 to 79. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
