	On Oct. 2, 1899, the Pacific Commercial Advertiser took note of H. Hackfeld & Co.'s 50th anniversary.

2004: The deployment ceremony for 2,500 citizen soldiers of the 29th Separate Infantry Brigade is held at Aloha Stadium. The troops left a few days later for Fort Bliss, Texas, for combat training and then went to Iraq.
