O`ahu home prices inch higher in September

The rise was the slimmest this year, and follows a slowing trend for prices that are rising more slowly but have yet to decline in any month this year when compared to the same month last year.
The number of sales fell 19.9 percent to 359 in September compared with a year earlier.
The condo market was stronger in prices but weaker in sales, as the median sale price rose 11.5 percent to $320,000 and the number of sales declined 37 percent to 481.
