Kaua'i could see thunderstorms today

There is a slight chance of thunderstorms today over portions of Ni'ihau and Kaua'i.

An upper-level low-pressure system to the northwest of Kaua'i moved closer overnight and could bring the shower activity over Kaua'i some time today, according to the National Weather Service.

A line of thunderstorms currently extends from the southwest to the northwest of Kaua'i, forecasters said.

The same storm system will likely carry high clouds over all islands today.

Here's a look at what to expect on O'ahu during the next few days:

Today, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Highs 79 to 86. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 68 to 78. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Wednesday, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Highs 80 to 87. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Wednesday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 69 to 79. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Thursday, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Highs 80 to 87. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
