Two Hawai'i teams to play in Arizona Fall Classic

Advertiser Staff

Thirty-eight high school baseball players from around the state will be split between two teams while participating in the Arizona Senior Fall Classic.

Team Hawaii will send a Gold and Blue team, instead of one as in previous years, to the 41-team showcase at the Peoria (Ariz.) Sports Complex, coordinator Duane Eldredge said. Most of the teams are from the West region, with some teams from Illinois, Texas and Missouri. There also is a team from Canada and one from Japan.

The players were recommended to Eldredge by their high school coaches and consultation with scouts.

The tournament runs Oct. 12 to 15.
