O'ahu to get sunny weather, Big Island expects rain

Advertiser Staff

It will be a case of yin and yang in terms of the weather for the rest of the work week, according to the National Weather Service.

It will be mostly sunny and downright pleasant on O'ahu during the next several days and into the weekend, forecasters aid.

But it's another story to the east where radar images show showery low clouds moving in over the Big Island. And satellite photos show scattered and towering cumulus and isolated cumulonimbus clouds indicating that the weather across the eastern portion of the state is becoming less stable.

Here's how things are shaping up on O'ahu as we roll on toward the weekend:

Today, mostly sunny. Highs 80 to 87. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Tonight, mostly clear. Lows 69 to 79. Northeast winds around 10 mph.

Friday, mostly sunny in the morning...Then partly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers in the afternoon. Highs 80 to 87. Southeast winds up to 10 mph. Friday night, mostly clear. Lows 69 to 79. Northeast winds around 10 mph.

Saturday, mostly sunny in the morning, then partly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers in the afternoon. Highs 80 to 87. South winds around 10 mph. Saturday night, mostly clear. Lows 69 to 79. Northeast winds around 10 mph.
