Schofield soldier killed in Iraq identified

The Department of Defense today identified a Schofield Barracks soldier who was killed in Iraq on Tuesday as Staff Sgt. Daniel Isshak, 25, of Alta Loma, Calif.

Isshak died from injuries suffered when his vehicle received enemy small arms fire at Hawija, Iraq, during combat operations.

Isshak was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry, 3rd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawai'i.
