Statewide agriculture conference set for late October

Hawai'i's agricultural community has scheduled several events later this month.The Hawaii Farm Bureau will hold its 59th annual convention Oct. 24-25 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Members will meet to set the organization's 2007 legislative priorities, elect new officers and present awards.
The convention will be followed by a statewide conference and trade show for the agriculture industry Oct. 26 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The event is sponsored by the Agricultural Leadership Foundation of Hawaii, the Hawaii Farm Bureau Federation, the University of Hawaii College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources and the State of Hawaii Department of Agriculture.
Two more events are scheduled for Oct. 27 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village: a seminar on Hawaii's floriculture industry and a workshop on biofuels.
