Candidates differ on national parties

The candidates differed when asked how much the governor is obligated to support the national policy of his or her party.Iwase said Democrats must follow national party policy.
Lingle said she would never put her party ahead of the welfare of Hawaii.
She says she believes a strong two-party system is good for Hawaii. But she will always put the needs of the people of Hawaii first.
