Man critically injured in moped accident

A 39-year-old man is in extremely critical condition after a moped accident this afternoon on the Vineyard Street off-ramp.Bryan Cheplic, a spokesman for the city's Emergency Services Department, said the man was taken to the Queen's Medical Center in extremely critical condition about 2:11 p.m., after his moped was apparently clipped by a mini-van.
A woman who was also riding on the moped suffered minor injuries.
The man was not wearing a helmet when the accident happened.
