Near drowning at Hanauma Bay

A 39-year-old visitor was taken to the Straub Clinic and Hospital today after she nearly drowned in waters off Hanauma Bay.Paramedics responded to the bay about 11:48 a.m. Bryan Cheplic, a spokesman for the city's Emergency Services Department, said the woman was in serious but stable condition.
