Military spouses eligible for HPU scholarship program

Advertiser Staff

A new Hawai'i Pacific University scholarship offers reduced tuition to spouses of military members.

Both graduate and undergraduate students can apply for the scholarships, which reduce already-discounted military campus tuition by 25 percent.

The scholarship applies for classes taken at military campuses between this month and September 2007.

Spouses of active-duty military and Coast Guard members are eligible for the scholarship.

Spouses of National Guard or reserve members who have been deployed for more than 60 days and are HPU students also can apply.

"HPU honors and supports those in the military and their family members," said Bob Cyboron, dean of HPU's Military Campus program.

Hawai'i Pacific University is the state's largest private university, with more than 8,000 students.

For more information on the scholarship, contact a military campus program at an installation.
