Man suspected of stabbing girlfriend with scissors

A 39-year-old Hale'iwa man was arrested about 8:30 yesterday morning after his girlfriend told police he stabbed her in the leg with a pair of scissors.The girlfriend, 42, said she had been arguing with her boyfriend just prior to the alleged stabbing.
Police arrested the boyfriend in an area near the intersection of Joseph J.P. Leong Highway and Emerson Road on suspicion of second-degree assault.
