North-South Road gets $8.1 million in funding

Advertiser Staff

Another $8.1 million in state funds has been released to continue construction on the North-South Road in 'Ewa.

The project to help alleviate traffic congestion by connecting Kapolei Parkway to the H-1 Freeway began in fall 2005. The first four lane configuration is expected to be completed by the end of 2008.

The state funds, along with $5.6 million in federal highway funds, will be used to complete the design work and purchase land for the first three phases of the road project.
