Hawaiian Electric sets photovoltaic workshop Oct. 20

Generating electricity with photovoltaic cells and Hawaiian Electric Co.'s program related to the energy systems will be the subject of free informational workshop between 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Oct. 20 at an eighth-floor meeting room at 1001 Bishop St. in Honolulu.The meeting will give an overview of the technology, recent installations in Hawai'i and trends. The program is designed for utility customers, contractors, regulators and people with an interest in renewable energy. Seating is limited and those interested should make a reservation by Oct. 16 by calling 546-4790.
