University of Hawai'i senior Dale Gammie is Golfweek's National Women's Player of the Week.

The honor was announced today. Gammie, a St. Anthony's graduate from Pukalani, is the first Rainbow Wahine ever to earn the award.

Gammie won the individual title at the Heather Farr Memorial on Oct. 3 in Broomfield, Colo., becoming the Rainbow Wahine's first tournament champion since 1986. Her 2-under-par 214 total (71-71-72) gave her a five-shot victory.

Gammie is currently ranked No. 36 in the country, with a 72.46 scoring average. She is a three-time all-WAC player.

The Rainbow Wahine will next be in action Oct. 16 to 18 at the New Mexico State Intercollegiate.
