Kawanes prove to be a winning Pigskin couple

He's calm and realistic. She's enthusiastic and optimistic.
So on Sunday, when the couple realized Kevin had picked all 15 games correctly in the Pigskin Picks contest, the forces collided.
"Wait for that call tomorrow," said Jill, referring to a weekly early Monday morning phone call by KSSK radio personalities Michael W. Perry and Larry Price to the contest's winner.
"Probably other people got it (all) right, too," he answered.
Kevin was cautious in his optimism, feeling that "you gotta be lucky twice" in order to win. First, by picking all games correctly; second, to have your ballot randomly by getting randomly picked from a stack of other perfect ballots.
When the phone rang at 5:45 a.m., Jill exclaimed, "They're calling. They're calling."
Kevin tried to be analytical, but Jill said, "who else calls at 6 in the morning?"
Indeed, it was Price, calling to say Kevin won the weekly prize of a trip for two to Las Vegas and $500.
"Yes, she's more excited than me," Kevin said.
He said when Jill exclaimed that "You won!" Kevin answer: "Oh yeah, I guess I did, yeah?"
