Pac-10 soccer honor for Oregon's Garbin

Oregon senior Nicole Garbin was named the Pac-10 Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week after scoring all the team's three goals over the weekend against Arizona and Arizona State to lead the Ducks to their first-ever 2-0 Pac-10 start.
Garbin, a 2001 Baldwin graduate from Wailuku, became Oregon's career points leader while scoring in a 2-1 upset over then-No. 24 Arizona Friday and a 1-0 win over Arizona State Sunday as the Ducks completed their first-ever Pac-10 road sweep.
Garbin's shot from the right side deflected off ASU goalkeeper Kim Bingham and rolled into the left side of the net in the 42nd minute.
She ran on to a through ball and scored on a left-footed shot in the 23rd minute against Arizona, then scored nine minutes into the second half off a give-and-go.
Those six points brought Garbin's career total to 73 (29 goals, 15 assists) as she passed Chalise Baysa (69 points, 1998-2001) on Oregon's career list. Garbin's five game-winning goals are tied for the conference lead and her seven total goals rank second in the Pac-10.
Garbin now holds 14 Oregon records. Her seven goals this season is three shy of the school season record (10) she set last year. Garbin is the only Oregon player to win multiple Player of the Week honors, having also achieved the feat as a sophomore in 2003.
Garbin was granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA after tearing the anterior cruciate ligaments in both knees, forcing her to sit out two seasons. She tore her left ACL prior to the 2002 season and then tore her right ACL during the spring before the 2004 season.

Loo's free kick from just inside the midfield floated into the box for Chantal Kim to head into the goal. It was Loo's first assist of the year.

She posted her 16th and 17th career double-doubles, tallying 32 kills and 32 digs in six games, while registering eight service aces. She also earned Big East Player of the Week honors.
Bolo had 61 kills in three matches. She has 754 career kills, which surpassed the school record of 746 that was set by Phoenix Morgan last season.

It was the sixth time this fall Wilson posted a round in the 70s.

She scored 572 points for third place against Nevada in the individual smallbore, and 571 points for fourth place in the Horned Frog Invitational, also in the individual smallbore.
AWARDS
According to the school, Kalama was "a leader both on and off the field. ... and continues to be the driving force on the PLNU soccer team in her senior year,"
Cyr was cited for posting a "team-best 73.51 average, the second best ever for a PLNU golfer," and for being "chosen as one of 12 collegiate players (and the only from the NAIA) who made up a United States team that played China in a friendship cup match. Sam won all four of his match-ups at the tournament as Team USA recorded a 15-point victory."
