Big Island police ask for help finding home burglar

HILO, Hawai'i — Big Island police are looking for a burglar who broke into a Ka'u home almost a year ago and stole a hymnal machine used to produce church music.

Police said the items taken during the October 2005 burglary at Hawaiian Ranchos Subdivision included a black digital hymnal machine that looks like a briefcase with a zipper.

Anyone with information about the burglary or the digital hymnal machine is asked to call Det. Rio Amon-Wilkins of the West Hawai'i Criminal Investigations Section at 326-4646, extension 277.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 329-8181 in Kona or 961-8300 in Hilo. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
