Morning commuters greeted by usual bottlenecks

Advertiser Staff

Traffic heading into town is moving at about the normal rate for a Thursday morning.

The backup on the H-1 Freeway heading in from West O'ahu begins near the Waikele Shopping Center and continues until past the Kaonohi Street overpass where it thins out a bit.

Traffic moves well through 'Aiea and on through the airport viaduct, but slows again at the Middle Street merge, where it's bumper to bumper at this time.

The congestion continues until once past the Kinau Street exit.

The drive in from Hawaii Kai is going well although it slows considerably just past the Koko Head Avenue overpass.

There are no significant problems at this time driving in from the windward side.
