Flood advisory issued for O'ahu until 5:45 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for O'ahu through 5:45 p.m.The weather service said radar showed moderate to heavy rain along Windward O'ahu from Maunawili to Kahalu'u and Waikane. Rain gages indicate up to 2 inches of rain have already fallen in portions of the area, forecasters said.
Forecasters warned runoff from the storm will cause standing water in low-lying and poorly-drained areas. Drivers along the H-3 Freeway and Likelike and Pali highways should use caution. Residents are also advised to stay from fast-moving streams.
