Hawaii unemployment claims up 10 percent last week

Hawai'i unemployment claims rose 10 percent last week compared to a year earlier, according to figures supplied by the state Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism.There were 1,278 filings in the week ended Oct. 7. That was above the 1,159 filed during a comparable week in 2005.
