Lingle, Iwase report new fundraising totals

Gov. Linda Lingle continues to far outpace challenger Randall Iwase in campaign fundraising before the Nov. 7 election.Lingle today reported raising $135,731 in campaign contributions from Sept. 9 to Sept. 23, bringing her total in contributions to over $5.9 million.
Other receipts brought her campaign's total income to $6.2 million over the past four years.
After deducting expenditures, Lingle reported having $2.3 million on hand as of Sept. 23.
Challenger Randall Iwase reported raising $3,419 in contributions, bringing his total to $181,421. He has also lent his campaign $60,000.
Iwase reported having $5,695 remaining in his campaign account.
