The Hilton Waikoloa Village and the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai at Historic Kaupulehu were ranked among the top family resorts in the United States and Canada by Travel + Leisure Family Magazine.

The magazine ranked the 62-acre Hilton Waikoloa No. 7 in the region, citing amenities such as a four-acre lagoon and three swimming pools, one of which has a 175-foot slide and a waterfall.

The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai was ranked No. 8 and was recognized for its swimming pools, small private beach and a Hawaiian cultural center.

The rankings were based on reader evaluations collected in Travel + Leisure's 2006 World's Best Awards Survey.

The WaterColor Inn in Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., won the top spot for family resorts in the United States and Canada.

Travel + Leisure Family Magazine also named the Hilton Waikoloa the No. 1 Top Family Resort in Hawai'i.

The Hilton Waikoloa was followed by 10 other resorts, including the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, the Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa, the Fairmont Kea Lani and the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa.
