Kelly had made his first seven PAT attempts Saturday. It was Kelly's first failed PAT attempt of the season after starting 27 of 27.

Brennan completed his fifth touchdown pass — a 35-yarder to Dickerson with 41 seconds remaining in the third quarter — boosting Hawai'i to a 62-23 lead.

Brennan completed a 47-yard touchdown pass to Sample to give Hawai'i a 14-7 lead with 5:11 remaining in the first quarter.

Two key defense plays resulting in Fresno State fumbles gave the Warriors good field position and led to scores.

UH's Solomon Elimimian's hit forced Dwayne Wright to fumble and the ball was recovered by Hawai'i's Ikaika Alama-Francis at the Fresno State 24. Three plays later, Brennan handed off to Ilaoa, who scored on a 5-yard run to give Hawai'i a 21-7 lead with 1:46 to go in the first quarter.

Another fumble by Wright, forced by Melila Purcell and recovered by Adam Leonard, gave UH the ball back at the Fresno State 42. Brennan completed his second touchdown pass to Sample — a 2-yarder with 13:11 remaining in the second quarter — for a 28-7 lead.

Fresno State sophomore Sean Norton replaced Brandstater halfway through the second quarter and on his first series completed a 20-yard touchdown pass to Pascoe to close Hawai'i's lead to 28-14 with 6:56 to go in the first half.

Ilaoa scored on a 20-yard run — his third touchdown of the game — with 3:38 to go in the first half to give Hawai'i a 35-14 lead.

Norton led a Fresno State drive to another score — a 28-yard field goal by Clint Stitser as time expired in the first half to close it to 42-17.
