No decision yet on classes at University of Hawaii

Yesterday's power outages knocked out nearly all communications and information services from the University of Hawai'i system, UH officials said.Damage assessments were underway last night, but so far no property damage or injury had been reported at an U.H. facility in the state, the university said in a notice to its e-mail users.
Opening of classes classes today will depend on how quickly full power is restored, officials said. Students and faculty were advised to check the university's web page (www.hawaii.edu) for updates.
