Emergency tips from civil defense

Until electricity is restored to the entire island, O'ahu Civisil Defense is asking residents to observe the following emergency measures:i Do not call 911 unless you have a life-threatening emergency.
i Use land-line and cell phones only for emergencies. Keep lines clear for emergency calls.
i Travel only in an emergency. Treat intersections lacking traffic signals as a four-way stop.
i Use water only for essential needs. The power outage has affected pumping capability.
i Listen to the radio for updates.
