Kailua shoppers line up for supplies

At the Aikahi Park Shopping Center more than 100 people waited for up to an hour to buy emergency supplies at a Safeway store.Shoppers were let into the darkened store one at a time accompanied by an employee with a flashlight.
Batteries, drinks, charcoal and cereal were among the most sought after items. Ice was sold out.
Bills were totaled with pen and paper and only cash was accepted.
