Box jellyfish warning continues today

Advertiser Staff

The Ocean Safety Division is continuing its box jellyfish warning today after a few of the stinging creatures — less than 10 — were found in the pond areas of Kuhio Beach in Waikiki.

Tomorrow should be the end of this month's influx.

The most commonly affected area is Waikiki Beach, but other affected areas include Hanauma Bay, Pokai Bay, Makaha Surfing Beach and Waimea Bay.

Those who are allergic or do not wish to be stung should stay out of the water.
