Quake, rains keep 10 schools on Big Island closed

As a result of Sunday's earthquake, the following eight regular public schools and two public charter schools on the Big Island will remain closed today:Honokaa Elementary
Honokaa High & Intermediate
Waimea Elementary
Waikoloa Elementary
Kohala Elementary
Kohala Middle
Kohala High
Kealakehe Elementary
Waimea Middle
Kanu O Ka 'Aina
In Addition, two other public schools on the Big Island will be closed today as a result of heavy overnight rains: Ka'u High & Pahala Elementary (K-12) and Naalehu Elementary & Intermediate (K-9).
