Kids' scary story session set for Sunday

By Catherine E. Toth
Advertiser Staff Writer

Get spooked at Kaiden Kalabash, a day of scary stories, on Oct. 22 at the Japanese Culture Center of Hawai'i.

Local storytellers such as Lopaka Kapanui and Jeff Gere will share different kaidan, or scary, mysterious stories, in the spirit of Halloween.

"Ghosts, Giggles & Goodies," which is geared toward children, will run from 1 to 5 p.m. "An Obake Odyssey" will run from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

Both events will be held on the fifth floor of the JCCH.

Admission is free; donations are welcomed.

For more information, call 945-7633 or visit www.jcch.com.
