A half-hour debate between 2nd Congressional District candidates Mazie Hirono and Bob Hogue will be televised at 6:30 p.m. Saturday on KHNL News 8.

The debate is co-sponsored by The Honolulu Advertiser.

Each candidate will answer four questions and give a three-minute opening statement and a 90-second closing.

The candidates do not have advance knowledge of the questions, which will be asked by Jerry Burris from The Advertiser and Darren Pai from KHNL.

KHNL News anchor Howard Dashefsky will moderate.

The debate also will be streamed live on the Internet tonight starting 6 p.m. at KHNL.com.
