Convicted felon may face more charges

Drug possession and auto theft charges are pending against a convicted felon on probation for firearms offenses, police said.

The 25-year-old male suspect was arrested about 2 p.m. yesterday near the intersection of Kealohanui and Hika streets in Waialua. Officers in the area received a tip on the location of the suspect, who was wanted by the auto theft detail, police said.

He was found sleeping in the front seat of his vehicle and arrested on auto theft charges. But as officers took him out of the vehicle, they saw a shotgun on the floor on the driver's side. A box of shotgun shells spilled out of the suspect's backpack and officers found additional shells in his pockets, police said.

A glass pipe was found on the front seat, police said.

Three women, one 75 years old, arrested for beating another

Three women were arrested for investigation of 1st-degree burglary allegedly entering the home of fourth woman and beating her, police said.

The suspects are 43, 45 and 75 years old.

The victim is a 22-year-old woman.

Police are continuing their investigation.

Alleged backpack theft leads to 14-year-old's arrest

Police arrested a 14-year-old boy yesterday for allegedly stealing the backpack of a classmate at a Honolulu high school.

The victim said the suspect confronted him at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday and used physical force to take the backpack, police said.

The suspect was arrested when he returned to school the following day.
