Memorial to be held today for 11 Marines

A memorial service will be held this afternoon for 11 Hawai'i-based Marines killed recently in Iraq.All of them were members of the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment out of Marine Corps Base, Hawai'i, which deployed about 1,000 Marines in March to the Haditha area of Iraq northwest of Baghdad.
The 3rd Battalion Marines, known as "America's Battalion," returned from their deployment this fall, with the last of them coming home Oct. 5.
