Soccer programs for kids 5 to 10 on O'ahu

 •  With loss comes gain for Big Island resident

The Hawai'i Rush Soccer Club will offer a series of developmental programs, called School of Excellence.

The program is open to boys and girls from ages 5 to 10.

There are two schools for participants to choose from. The East O'ahu division will meet on Fridays, beginning Nov. 3, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m., at Manoa Valley District Park. The Central/West O'ahu division will meet on Wednesdays, beginning Nov. 8, from 5 p.m. to 6:15 p.m., at 16 Acres Park in Mililani.

The fee is $95 with discounts for early registration and returning players.

BIKEFACTORY HALE'IWA TRIATHLON ON NOV. 5

The Bikefactory Hale'iwa Triathlon will be Nov. 5 starting at 6:15 a.m. at Hale'iwa Beach Park.

The race will consist of a 400-meter swim, a 12-mile bike ride and a 3-mile run.

Entry fees are $70 for individuals and $105 for teams. Entries must be postmarked by Oct. 28. Late entries are an additional $10.
