High-surf advisory in effect for east shores
Advertiser Staff
Waves along the north shore top the surf list today but a combination of swells prompted the National Weather Service to issue a high-surf advisory for east-facing shores on all islands through 6 p.m. tomorrow.A building trade duce wave faces of 5 to 8 feet on east-facing
shores, the weather service said.
On north-facing shores, wave faces are forecast to be 8 to 12 feet with occasional larger sets.
West-facing shores will see wave faces of 3 to 5 feet.
Beginning tomorrow, a series of late-season south swells
will produce moderate waves for the rest of the week.
