REIT with Honolulu properties trades higher after IPO

Shares of Douglas Emmett Inc., a California real estate investment trust that owns apartment complexes and office towers on O'ahu enjoyed a solid gain in their first day of trading.The stock closed up $2.65 at $23.65 today after it's initial public offering late Monday night. The Santa Monica, California-based company's also owns properties in Los Angeles.
