Libraries get money for improvements

Public libaries in Salt Lake-Moanalua and Pearl City will receive $1.17 million in improvements.

In February, $1.1 million in construction will begin at the Salt Lake Moanalua Public Library, including renovations to comply with the Americans with Disability Act requirements and air-conditioning fixes.

In April, air-conditioning improvement at Pearl City will enter the design phase, with construction to follow in August. The equipment replacement is expected to cost a total of $576,000.
