Family of teen killed in crash will gather at site today

Advertiser Staff

The family and friends of Bobby Gouveia, who died in an automobile crash Sunday, will gather at the crash site at 5 p.m. today at Dillingham Airfield & Gliderport in Mokule'ia on Farrington Highway.

Gouveia, 18 of Waialua, was a passenger in a 1991 Acura Integra that veered across the center line of Farrington Highway, struck a utility pole and fence, and rolled over several times before stopping on the grounds of airfield.

Police have said that alcohol and speed were factors in the crash, that also sent the 18-year-old male driver and a 17-year-old back-seat male passenger to the hospital in serious condition.
