Advertiser Staff
Underage drinking among U.S. Air Force personnel stationed in Hawai'i has become so much of a problem that the state and military officials here have forged a partnership to address it, the state said today.Lt. Gov. James R. "Duke" Aiona and Col. John J. Torres, commander of the 15th Airlift Wing at Hickam Air Force Base, will join state and county officials this morning to announce the partnership.
A new federal grant will be used to enforce under drinking laws and promote greater awareness in an effort to solve the problem.
