Big Island police seek missing camper

Advertiser Staff

HILO, Hawai'i — Big Island police are asking for help in locating a Hakalau man reported missing by his wife on Monday.

Mikhail Dynnikov, 38, reportedly went camping on Oct. 20, at about 11 a.m. and has not been seen since.

His primer-black Mazda pickup truck was found near the shoreline in the Manuka area at the fishing spot referred to as "Road to the Sea."

Police ask that anyone who was near that fishing spot last weekend call Officer Roger Kalua of South Hilo Patrol at (808) 961-2213, or Detective Bradley Freitas of the Kona Criminal Investigations Section at (808) 326-4646, ext. 228.
