Traffic backed up on H-1 Honolulu-bound

There's nothing easy about the commute today.At this hour, Honolulu-bound freeway traffic is backed up from the H-1/H-2 merge at Pearl City to nearly Kunia Road. It doesn't let up until the Waimalu exit.
Further into town, the Honolulu-bound drive remains heavy through Fort Shafter and on to the Vineyard offramp. And like most days, it clears up at Liliha.
Coming in from East Honolulu, it's deja vu all over again: Drivers backed up from town to at least Old Waialae Road.
