Stop-and-go traffic greets commuters

Your Aloha Friday morning drive to work is no cruise.Honolulu-bound traffic at the H-1/H-2 freeway merge is backed up to the Waikele Shopping Center. It remains heavy through to Waimalu, then moves along until Middle Street and the subsequent slog through to the Vineyard Street offramp.
East Honolulu drivers are stop-and-go along Kalanianaole Highway and once they hit the freeway, it's a brief burst of speed and then brake lights near Koko Head Avenue. Traffic is heavy through Old Waialae Road.
