Court tells Army to halt Stryker Brigade work

Advertiser Staff

The Army says it will comply with a court order to stop all activities related to creating a Stryker Brigade Combat Team in Hawai'i.

The 9th Circuit of Appeals issued a temporary injunction today, ordering the Army to stop any construction or training related to the creation of the brigade.

Earlier this month, the court ruled in favor of three Native Hawaiian groups, who said the Army violated federal law when it failed to consider locations other than Hawai'i for the brigade.
