Wilson shoots 3-over 74 in Chrysler Championship

Advertiser Staff

A triple-bogey on the par-4 16th hole and a bogey on the 18th dropped Dean Wilson to the middle of the pack after the second round of the Chrysler Championship in Palm Harbor, Fla.

Wilson, a former Kaneohe resident and Castle alum, started the day in 14th place after shooting a 2-under 69 Thursday.

But his 3-over 74 Friday put him at 1-over 143 after two rounds and into a tie for 42nd place.

K.J. Choi, who had a double bogey, managed to shoot a 5-under 66 for a one-shot lead in the final full-field event of the season.

Choi leads Ernie Els, Brian Gay and Jonathan Byrd.
